On leaving university I started working in retail having had various summer jobs in independent fashion companies. I joined the Marks & Spencer buying team in 1996 and remained there until 2013 and the birth of my daughter. Having become a senior buyer, I worked in the menswear team for 11 years with knitwear becoming my specialist area, before taking on the Beauty department in 2008. Career highlights included working with a lambswool supplier based in Mauritius and fragrance training with the renowned perfumer Givaudan in Paris. Having enjoyed being a full-time mum for a while, I now work on a part-time basis with the Sporting Agenda team.
- Favourite Sporting Experience:
Going to see the Utah Jazz play basketball in Salt Lake City. It was quite a spectacle.
- Sporting Memory:
Being full of Sunday roast and having to watch Rugby Special on TV…the Dusty Hare years.
- Sporting Heroes:
David Wilkie. Having won the 200m Breaststroke Olympic Gold in 1976 (with a full moustache), we promptly named our new dog after him (Wilkie not David)
