Emma Hunter
Concierge Manager
Background:
Growing up, most of my spare time was spent on horseback or following my Dad round the golf course looking for his wayward tee shot. On leaving school I worked for a luxury hotel in Scotland which boasted the highest golf course in the country, and so began a career in hospitality and sport. Following 8 years as PA to Olympic three day eventer Eddy Stibbe, I moved to Lambourn and became a racing secretary. With Sporting Agenda and Nelson Travel, as Concierge Manager, I am lucky enough to be able to combine my interest in sport with looking after our clients travelling for sporting events or holidays.
Favourite Sporting Experience:
More an unforgettable experience; going to Wincanton to leg up AP McCoy and telling him in the paddock the horse was a steering job and an unbelievable jumper, only to watch Blaze make a complete Horlicks of the first and deposit AP on the turf.
Sporting Memory:
Yeats winning his fourth successive Gold Cup at Ascot. Legend of a horse.
Sporting Heroes:
John Whitaker, Seve Ballesteros, Henri Leconte
